Bier Hier (Beer Here)
traditional German song
arr. Zack Smith
Price: $15

Transposed parts can be ordered.

"Bier Hier" is a traditional Octoberfest drinking song and seemed like the perfect tune to spotlight the tuba.  This is an Arban-style tuba feature that takes the theme and variations approach and ups the ante with frothy goodness.  After a sweet prelude, the tuba enters with a heroic cadenza, then the party is on.  There are the requisite triple tongue and double tongue variations, the fast finger variation, and plenty of references to other "beer songs" in between.  After one final cadenza, there is a frantic race to the end.  If you have the chops to pull this off, it will be the most talked about tune of the evening.
