In the original orchestra key with the orchestral trumpet, French horn & trombone solos. Where possible, the
exact notes of the orchestra score are used in order to be an opportunity for brass players to be able to actually
perform Bolero w/o an orchestra. Also included is the orchestral snare drum part.
Rehearsal letters here match up to the rehearsal numbers in the orchestra score like this.
Beginning = 5 (Trumpet melody)
A = 8 (Horn melody)
B = 10 (Trombone melody)
C = 14 (Trumpet melody)
D = 15 (Trombone melody)
E = 16 (Trumpet 2 playing Trumpet 3 melody or Piccolo Trumpet melody and Trumpet 1 playing the Trumpet 2 part)
F = 17 (Trombone melody. Trumpets harmony as written in orchestra parts.)
G = 18 (orchestra parts)
Note: This arrangement is difficult. The horn part is virtually impossible for 1 player so "opt. tacet" is written on 2 sections.
For a more comfortable Bolero, try the version in Bb.
