George Bizet used the French folk tune "March Of The Kings" in his incidental music
for the play "L'Arlessiene" in 1872. The play wasn't much of a success, but two
suites of Bizet's music lived on after the play was forgotten. The last movement of
Suite No. 2, "Farandole", has become a holiday classic. Dramatic and energetic, this
piece works well in any setting or venue.
