This arrangement is part of a series that Zack has created for Alfred Music and features the music
of great jazz composers. Designed as a showpiece when played in its entirety, each song in
the medley can be performed individually if desired. The piece begins with a nod to "Rhapsody
in Blue", then quickly moves into "Our Love Is Here To Stay". Trumpet carries the melody while
trombone and trumpet 2 play some jazz (solos are written). "Embraceable You" is a lush ballad
featuring the trombone. The big finale is "I Got Rhythm", and hopefully you do as the piece goes
through several time signature changes and has a finger twisting solo for trumpet 2. This
arrangement is designed for experienced high school and advanced ensembles.
