This nice arrangement of the beloved British patriotic hymn starts out sparse with first trumpet melody and
many rests for trumpet 2. Some elements of the famous Edward Elgar orchestration are incorporated but this
version has 3 verses and should probably be played a bit faster. Verse 2 goes into 4/4 with an echoed
melody line. It builds throughout with some fanfares in the obbligato lines at the end.
