After a light and bouncy intro, this 16th century French carol, Noel Nouvelet (Sing We a New Noel), is played through 5 times building throughout with a similar short interlude between each statement.  Everyone gets some melody at one time or another.  The last time is at half speed with a lively coda section recapping the into to a dramatic ending.
