This is one of the best known W.C. Handy melodies (also covered by the Glenn Miller Big Band
and Louis Armstrong among others). The arrangement leans more towards Armstrong's version
than Miller's, but it makes some references to both. Trumpet gets to play some jazz
(but there is a written solo as well); trombone and tuba also blow a little. The arrangement
alternates between a Latin feel and swing. Should be a fun addition to your swing library.
