This arrangement is part of a series that Zack has created for Alfred Music and features the music
of great jazz composers. Designed as a showpiece when played in its entirety, each song in
the medley can be performed individually if desired. "Raincheck" features trumpet 2 and the
trombone. "Chelsea Bridge" is a lush ballad played by French horn with trumpet 1 carrying
the bridge. The medley concludes with "Take the A Train" and and features trumpet 2.
There is also some cool plunger mute work in the last chorus. This excellent collection of
hits by the Duke Ellington Band is designed for experienced high school and advanced ensembles.
