This a fun, fast Dixieland classic that should be an audience pleaser. Though it is called "Weary Blues", it
is actually a ragtime piece that has become a New Orleans jazz standard frequently referred to as "Shake it and
Break it". If you listen to ten different bands, you will hear ten different interpretations of what the
melody to this tune actually is. Zack has put together a version that combines elements of a bunch of
different recordings, including the Louis Armstrong Hot 7 disc. The last chorus features a transcription of
Louis's last verse for the first trumpet. There is also a lot of tailgate trombone, so loosen up your slide!
