Lovely rendition of this traditional Easter-themed spiritual. It starts with solo flugelhorn (after an
optional intro) followed by staggered entrances of the other instruments. Trombone gets the melody in the
2nd verse with a cool background using trumpets in Harmon mutes. [Thanks for the idea, Duke Ellington.]
Horn starts the 3rd verse melody shifting to trombone & tuba in octaves then to 2nd trumpet then to horn &
trombone in octaves with trumpets back in Harmon mutes.
