This reduction of the classic Cootie Williams trumpet solo written by Duke Ellington for his band works
quite well for brass quintet. Use a plunger over a Pixie mute for that iconic old sound.
The catchy melody on this one was later used for the song, "Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me" that became
a big hit.
