Some of you have been asking for another tuba feature, so Zack has written a theme and variations on the basso
chestnut "Im Tiefen Keller sitz ich Hier" ("Down in the Deep Deep Cellar"). This will take a tuba player
with decent chops and fast fingers and a lot of endurance. We put it in a key where it should fit pretty
nicely on Bb or C tuba. The rest of the quintet will be occupied with the accompaniment which is not
difficult, but has enough difficulty to keep things interesting.
