This is a cool trombone feature for the brass quintet with an optional drum part included. The arrangement incorporates some
ideas from the Frank Mantooth big band version, the Meters recording, and of course the original Glenn Campbell version. There
are a lot of cool harmonies, and the trombone has a solo which can be improvised -- though a written solo is provided. Difficulty
is medium advanced. Not too rangy for the trumpets, but the trombone part is a little tough. This will be a great change-up
in your summer concert repertoire!
